1. How did Compassionate Care of Charlotte begin?
While helping her mother face a two year battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease in 1997, founder Sabra Schroder became convinced of the need for trained, trustworthy in-home assistants. She observed her mother’s discomfort with caregivers who she did not know and whose trustworthiness she questioned.
As Sabra entered the field of senior care a few years later, she meet an array of people in the industry who ran the spectrum of wonderful to…well, not so wonderful.
While providing senior caregiving, her passion for excellence in both skills and character grew into Compassionate Care of Charlotte, an agency which now offers some of the “most wonderful” caregivers in the Charlotte region.
